DESCRIPTION:Monday\, DEC 30 ::  3-4 pm EST**\nYou are invited to join me at this important time to play the drum\, shimmer your systrum and ring your cymbals!\nAwaken the Goddess and invoke Her blessings of love and light🕯️\nPEACE ☮️\, liberation and justice for all. ✨sššt sššt sššt✨\nOne-hour ONLINE program in which you will\n💜 DISCOVER the relevance of these hand-held percussion instruments in Ancient Egypt\n💜 LEARN how they can be used as sacred instruments today\n💜 PLAY a simple rhythm pattern\n💜 PARTICIPATE in a co-creative experience \nLearn about the Systrum\, an ancient Egyptian hand-held percussion instrument with cymbals that slide on transverse bars creating a shimmering jingle when shaken\, a predecessor to the tambourine often played along with the frame drum.\nThe systrum was played in combination with the frame drum in temple ceremony and community processions.
