Online 3-class session: Second Saturdays
starting 💖 FEBRUARY 14, 2026 💖
Feb 14 – Mar 14 – Apr 11 | 11:00-11:45 AM ET
Awaken sacred rhythms within, return to being in rhythm, and step forward in your life with grace. Kindle your creative spirit to revive your Inner Knowing while also invoking blessings of protection, courage, liberation and peace. Explore practical, magical rhythms and millennia-old traditions dating back to when women were sacred timekeepers.
We welcome beginners/newcomers to the frame drumming path, introducing the Herstory (the use of percussion instruments primarily played by women in ancient cultures), the basic strokes, and a couple of simple rhythms that are easy and fun to play equipping you with the basics to create your own rhythmic chant practice.
Beginners-Intermediate welcome. Rhythms vary from class-to-class with various tempos explored within each lesson adaptable to frame drum, systrum, Egyptian tambourine known as riqq and/or finger cymbals ~ as inspired by Glen Velez‘s Handance method and the pedagogy of frame drummer, teacher, and drum historian Layne Redmond.
Interested but have potential conflict/s on the class dates? Sessions are recorded and made available to participants for ten days following class date.
